The brolo of the Villa, protected by ancient walls, is immersed in the park where, according to Regolo's will in 1951, was also built a chapel dedicated to Madonna del Carmine, still consecrated and open to visitors. Right from the Villa Maria's brolo come the grapes destined to the production of one of the winery's Cru, Amarone Riserva Corte Bra. The heart of Sartori winery beats, since birth, for red wine. Finally, there is no (or almost no) restaurant in the historic center of Verona which does not have at least one label on its menu. Sartori is present with 75% of its production in foreign markets, England, Germany and North America, with strong expansion opportunities in Russia, Scandinavian countries, Japan and Israel.
Closing the circle is the management of Collis group's vineyards which amount to 6800 hectares.
The Sartori family today is led by Andrea, president of the winery and past president of Consorzio di Tutela Vini Valpolicella, and Luca, who nowadays manage 52 employees, 25 hectares of property, 15 hectares for rent and 80 hectares from historical vintners. It was Regolo himself, to whom not by chance is also dedicated a wine, to mark the turning point in the production and bottling of Sartori wines. It became property of the Sartori family in 1924 thanks to Pietro Sartori who, with his son Regolo, the true innovator of the family, started the family history in the viticultural field. The first news of the Villa dates back to 1638. Villa Maria is located in the classic Valpolicella area in Negrar, the commune of the appellation which is the closest to the city of Verona. Living, visiting, tasting and "touching with one's hand" the territory is the key to the success of every appellation and Valpolicella, from this point of view, place of unexplored opportunities, must not be less. Sartori's family lights a spotlight on enotourism which, according to Andrea Sartori, is a great opportunity for the future of Italian viticulture. In Valpolicella, Villa Maria - Sartori's family home and offices - opens to visitors and it is immediately Casa Sartori.Ĭasa Vinicola Sartori becomes Casa Sartori and its headquarter, until now only family's house and partially used as offices, finally opens its doors to visitors becoming the center of visits and tastings.
